Good location off 495. Courteous check in reception, clean rooms. Plenty of hot water. Well lighted parking lot. Over all good stay, very affordable.
I use to pay a fee monthly but i canceled it because one of the life guards ( her name is JORDAN) was never nasty and rude to me and an elderly lady used foul language very unprofessional. She stayed on he phone the whole time not watching the kids in the pool. The bathrooms smell like mildew and the pool had nasty oil bubbles , the jacuzzi water was a yellowish color. Its not like it use to be I will never go back again
I will not be staying here again! I was highly dissatisfied with the service received and the grounds. There is a charge for the pool and fitness room. That's crazy not to mention they closed at 8pm and it's the weekend. There was no soap in the bathroom. The room keys have had to be redone each day we've stayed. We had to request towels because housekeeping didn't replace them. I'm so disappointed when I heard this was a really nice place.
My poor rating is for the room. No local channels, no do not disturb placard, very difficult to adjust the shower temperature. Room is dated but beds are comfortable. You will hear Medevac Helicopter from the Hospital occassionally. Check out was a joke, I wait at the empty front desk for 8-10 minutes until the woman finally came out. No apology or explanation.
Brunch was very good and worth the price but their prepay reservation policy sucks for large parties. Especially since the place was empty at 1 pm on Christmas Eve. Seafood newburg and crab legs plus greens. Rated 4.5.
As a paying guest you have to pay to use the pool and fitness center each day. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Complete greed by the owners of Coluny South. The room prices are just as comparable as the Marriott around the corner and they don’t charge for the use of the amenities. Never have I heard of this and is why I am giving this hotel a 1-Star. This information isn’t even provided on the web site. I would have booked somewhere else had I known up front.
