Worst experience ever!!!! My son came via ambulance for pain in the chest.....was told the wait was over 3 hours. Spoke with the registrar she said that’s great compared to how it normally is, unexceptionable on all levels this place is unorganized with respect to its patients. The conditions of this hospital are deplorable and unsanitary. If you can actually make it some where else please do so. Under no circumstances should you put your health at risk by visiting the hospital!!!
This place got my daily medications completely wrong during an unexpected hospital stay. I almost died as a result. It was by far the most horrific experience of my life. I never want to go there again. Would rather die at home. This hospital should have been closed years ago.
This is the worse hospital in this area. The registration process is terrible. The older lady that Checks in patients has a nasty attitude and acts as if she doesn’t want to answer any questions. It took 25minutes to check in and there was only 1 person in front of me. The wait time to be seen is unheard of! People have been here waiting for 4 hours. They need to work on their customer service in addition to scheduling people to work.
12/24/17 was my first encounter with Southern MD Hosp. I have to say that I was truly truly truly impressed with the service I received in the ER. From the moment I signed in, the staff was professional and attentive. I received prompt and courteous assistance. Although I was in pain, and despite it being late XMAS EVE the staff was extremely polite and professional. Dr. Tillman and the nurses were patient, sensitive, and listened attentively to my concerns. Follow-up was prompt and the staff seemed to care about my well being. This is the absolute best experience that I’ve had at an ER in DMV area. Southern MD exceeded my expectations during an unexpected medical emergency. Thank you all so very much!!

Your hospital sucks. My daughter just delivered her first child there and I must say you have some of the rudest nurses in Labor and Delivery. We left and got a phone call from my daughter to come back. She was hemorraging after returning to the hospital her nurse Joy had an attitude with us and acted as if she had no time to answer our questions. This was not us over reacting the room was full of family and all noticed her attitude with my daughter.I don't know what her problem is but I plan on reporting her. The doctor was amazing,but your nurses need a refresher course in bed side manners. My daughter and our family felt very unwelcomed. By the way this was not just a one time thing. This also happened with a another nurse a few weeks ago when she thought she might be in labor. Nurses like that should not be working in any hospital much less Labor and Delivery. I think you might want to get some new nurses or more security before one of them gets knocked on their ass.
